Naomi Campbell is to host two charity fashion shows in London and New York to raise money for the victims of recent earthquake in Haiti. The supermodel, who is better known for her fiery temper than for her philanthropy, has recruited celebrities to model various items of designer clothing at the events.

The first event is in New York on February 12th, as part of New York Fashion Week. The London event will take place later in the month, and will be part of London Fashion Week. What’s more, both events will be open to the general public. According to Ms. Campbell, who also organised a fashion show in 2007 to raise money after the UK floods, the world’s top fashion designers have been queuing up to help the victims of the Haiti earthquake. “Of all the American designers, nobody has said no,” said the supermodel. “They’re taking the time out of their schedules to be able to pick what they want to give and contribute. We are very, very grateful.”
